Scott Ainslie will be performing at the Tinmouth Old Firehouse on Friday, October 18 at 7:30 pm.

Steeped in traditional music from both sides of the color line, Scott Ainslie is a renowned acoustic blues guitarist, singer and songwriter. He learned southern old-time ballads, banjo and fiddle from senior musicians in North Carolina and West Virginia and blues from his black elders in North Carolina, Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia and Mississippi: his roots are deep.

Scott performs traditional and original songs. From arts councils and community concert series, theaters and festivals to clubs and house concerts, music is a vehicle for celebrating our shared history and the community that grows up around it.

All concerts are on Friday nights at 7:30 PM in Tinmouth village, doors open at 7 PM. The Old Firehouse is on Mountain View Road just a few hundred feet south of the intersection with Vermont 140. Park on the road or on the Town Green in front of the church. Suggested donation of $15 – $20.   90% goes to the musicians, and 10% goes to the Town to support maintenance of the Old Firehouse. We’ll provide coffee and refreshments.
