Board of Civil Authority

The Town Clerk, Selectboard members and Justices residing in a town shall constitute the Board of Civil Authority (BCA).  The BCA oversees all elections in town, and hears taxpayers’ appeals of the listers’ valuation of their property.

Safety & Wellness Committee

The Tinmouth Safety & Wellness Committee considers the community’s needs on a broad range of subjects, including traffic,  pedestrian and bicycle safety, and works with the Emergency Management Coordinator on issues of emergency preparedness and equipment, weather-emergency preparedness, wildlife issues, environmental hazards, criminal justice, and keeps the Town informed about state-wide health trends and concerns.

Tinmouth Energy Committee

The Tinmouth Energy Committee is a small group of volunteers tasked with promoting energy efficiency and conservation to town residents.  For more information about the committee or to volunteer, please contact the Town Office at 802-446-2498.

Website Committee

The Tinmouth Website Committee works to improve and maintain the tinmouthvt.gov website as a useful information source for the town.

Zoning Board of Adjustment

The role of the ZBA is to:

  • Hear appeals of decisions rendered by zoning administrators
  • Interpret unclear provisions in the zoning ordinance
  • Decide on applications by landowners to permit buildings or land uses which vary from the zoning regulations

Old Creamery Committee

The role of the Old Creamery Committee is to make decisions about the future of the Old Creamery, and to solicit donations to preserve this historical building.
